DJ John Glass

About

DJ John Glass first discovered his passion for house music while living in his hometown of Portland, Maine in the early 2000s. After honing his craft playing bars and clubs around the city, he relocated to Rochester, New York, where he quickly gained notoriety for his unique blend of deep, funky, jazzy, Latin, and jackin' house.

During his time in Rochester, John played in venues across the city, including ONE, Pearl, Tilt, Pulse, Tonic, and secured a long-running residency at the popular club Venue. This exposure allowed him to expand his reach, landing gigs in other markets like Maine and Houston, Texas.

After a brief stint in Houston, where he played at clubs like The Flat and Boheme, John made the move to San Francisco in the late 2000s. However, he then took an extended break from DJing in the city.

It wasn't until 2021, after playing a private music festival near the Salton Sea and a rooftop party in the Mission district, that John was re-energized and decided to get back behind the decks. This reignited his passion and led him to fully immerse himself in the vibrant SF music community.

Since returning, John has graced the decks at some of the city's premier clubs and events, including Temple, Public Works, F8, The Foundry, Phonobar, Valencia Lounge, Butter, Mothership, The Chapel, Powerhouse, 7th West, Bergerac, Underground SF, Asiento, Amber Lounge, and The Eagle. He's also taken his talents globally, with international gigs in Stockholm and Taipei.

With his signature sound and dynamic stage presence, DJ John Glass continues to captivate audiences and cement his status as a versatile and in-demand house music curator.
